Considering enrolling your student at ULV? Here are some quick answers to commonly asked questions:

Do you offer scholarships?
Yes. ULV offers merit scholarships. We also encourage students to complete a FAFSA form and the GPA Verification Form (California residents only) for maximum financial aid eligibility.

Do you have a Financial Aid office on campus?
Yes. We highly encourage all of our students to apply for Federal Student Aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our financial aid packages allow ULV to be affordable for our students. Our Financial Aid Counselors will help students fill out forms, meet with them individually and find a package to suit their needs. Contact the Financial Aid Office for more details.

What is a Liberal Arts school?
Liberal Arts is an educational philosophy best delivered in small classes through close interaction with professors. In addition to studying varied areas of knowledge to become more "well rounded," students will learn to gather information, think critically and improve their communication skills. At ULV, we believe that what you can memorize is not nearly as important as what you think.

All classes are taught by ULV faculty rather than by graduate assistants.

Who can I talk to about my child's academic performance?
We recommend that you have a one-on-one with your student about their academic performance before contacting the university. If you would like more information, you are invited to speak to your student's academic advisor.

How many students are there at ULV?

How safe is your campus?
We take the security of our students very seriously, and our safety record is very impressive. ULV has 24 hour Campus Patrol continually monitoring the campus, and our residence halls are always locked. No streets run through the ULV campus which is well lit and constantly patrolled for maximum student safety.

What is the housing situation like?
Each student room is equipped with phone jacks, Ethernet ports, air-conditioning, cable hook-ups and Campus link telephone service. We offer a wide range of housing options including an all-women residence hall as well as housing customized for students with disabilities.
