Research Interests: Field ecology. My current work involved the distribution of Salmonella among free-ranging lizards of Southern California and the ecology of the long-snout sea-horse in Belize.

Favorite Class to Teach: Education 405, Diversity, Interaction and the Learning Process. This is the foundation class for the teacher education program. It is the one where we find out if you really want to become a teacher. I love it because I get to know the students really well!
Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the Barkley Building. It is where I work, and the place that holds the best memories of students.
Extracurricular Interests: My interests outside of work are my family, reading, waterskiing, and church.

Favorite Book: Barbara Kingsolver's Animal Dreams. Kingsolver is a superb author. This book is about a young woman's coming of age. It's priceless.
