Robert Caban is a Los Angeles based artist whose latest paintings layer and juxtapose images of cartoony flowers with spatially fluctuating passages of abstraction. These formally seductive surfaces suspend whimsical ideas of beauty and chance in playful yet slyly sophisticated constellations.
