ASULV Goals

Spring Semester Goals
From Chanel Kaufman and Walter Wade Worthy III, ASULV College of Business Senators

Business Students,
Welcome to another semester. As your ASULV Senators, here are a few of the issues and goals we look to accomplish. We look to re-evaluate the current course content to ensure that there is no overlap in content of curriculum. In addition, for courses, we are working to guarantee a variety of time slots available for class sessions, that classes offered will be available during both Spring and Fall semesters, and that academic advisors within the Business department clearly outline what is to be taken and when. We also hope to set a standard that if there is a course that is more than one semester long (such as with Economics or Accounting) that teachers are encouraged to teach both section in order to maintain continuity.

As far as events and activities, the two of us look to hold workshops for students to get hands on experience and help in career building, to offer programs that are business related, and encourage greater involvement and enrollment in the currently established business related clubs and organizations on campus. We would also like to make the Dean of the College of Business a more noticeable figure amongst undergraduates. We understand that most of you may not know our Dean, so we will work together to all get better acquainted with each other.

If there are issues concerning the College of Business that you feel we have missed, or if you have an idea for a way to enhance undergraduate life, donŐt hesitate to contact us.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Chanel and Wade
