

Chris Ragsdale enters his fifth year as Director of Athletics at the University of La Verne. Ragsdale was appointed by President Stephen Morgan as ULV athletics director, on July 7, 2003.
While at La Verne, Ragsdale was instrumental in bringing the 2003 NCAA Division III Volleyball Championships to the ULV campus. In addition, he has helped establish the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills Program and the ULV Scholar-Athlete Luncheon.
Before his arrival to La Verne, Ragsdale previously served as athletic director at Elmhurst College in Illinois, where he served from 1991 to 2003. As director of athletics at Elmhurst, Ragsdale helped expand the intercollegiate athletic program from 14 to 18 sports while also helping to implement construction of two new athletic facilities.
Prior to his tenure at Elmhurst, Ragsdale served as athletic director at Nazareth College in Michigan from 1986-91 where he also served as both head men's basketball coach and head baseball coach.
He and wife Cindy reside in Rancho Cucamonga while his daughter Jennifer attends Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
