What is CAB?
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) at the University of La Verne is a non-profit student organization, which serves as the largest student program board on campus coordinating a variety of programs annually. The Campus Activities Board is one of the most exciting and active groups on campus. Consisting of nine committees that program in different areas of interest, CAB constantly strives to develop new and innovative programs for the ULV community.
Committees include:
- Comedy
- Concerts
- Films
- Games & Recreation
- Intramural Sports
- Major Events (Homecoming, Mr. ULV and Commuter Day)
- Multicultural Programs
- Philanthropy
- Special Events
Through involvement, CAB also provides students with concrete experiences in planning, publicizing, and implementing programs helping them develop lifelong skills to complement their academic experiences at the University of La Verne.
How do I get involved?
You can volunteer for the committee(s) you are interested in by submitting a volunteer interest form or from the CAB brochure, and if you are interested in being a committee chair please download the application and turn it into the CAB office located on the 2nd floor of the ULV Bookstore.
What positions are available in CAB?
The positions available for CAB consist of: the Executive Board, Committee Chairs, and volunteers.
All CAB volunteers will attend a weekly committee meeting and participate, plan, and help implement all of the events involved with the committee of interest.
Do you have to have any experience in planning programs?
No, CAB is interested in working with creative people and creative ideas. However, if you do have experience please share that information with the CAB offices.
How is CAB different than ASULV?
ASULV advocates for students addressing university affairs. CAB is a program in the Office of Student Life that creatively and collaboratively bring a diverse and exciting range of events within the campus and surrounding communities. Although they are different, CAB is sponsored by ASULV. Both organizations have a good working relationship to provide all students with a diverse atmosphere that addresses their needs on an academic and programmatic level.
Where can I get a calendar of events?
You can access the calendar directly through the website through the Events link. The calendar will be updated on a monthly basis by the 25th of every month. On the calendar you can also find more information by clicking on the event name which will then link you to a printer friendly advertisement for that specific event.
How can I collaborate an event with CAB?
We welcome all clubs and organizations to plan an event with us! Part of CAB's vision is to implement programs that are inclusive of the campus's clubs and organizations as well as with the surrounding community.
To get more information about how we can help you sponsor an event please e-mail us at cab@ulv.edu. You can also call the CAB line at (909)593-3511 x4423 and when prompted you can leave a message for the committee chair that you would like to speak directly with if you know of the kind of event you are planning. Otherwise please leave the CAB chair, Michelle Ajemian, a message and she will get back to you promptly. We look forward to working with you soon!
