Freshman Lance Powell completed his first steeplechase and placed in fifth with a time of 7:03 last Saturday. Powell will compete in the 5,000 meter run Saturday in Las Vegas. The University of La Verne men’s and women’s track and field teams both finished seventh at the SCIAC invite in Claremont.
