Diversity to be discussed
The ULV Growing with Diversity Committee will host a variety of speakers addressing topics of diversity from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the West Dining Room.
The luncheon presentation, titled “Diversity: The Critical Component for Success Fitting the Pieces Together,” brings together Gary De La Rosa, project coordinator from the human relations commission of Los Angeles, Kathy Duncan, assistant professor of organizational management from the University of La Verne, and Norma Hernandez, professor of education from Claremont Graduate University.
Essay contest deadline moved
The Growing with Diversity Committee is calling students to submit papers for an open essay writing contest. The deadline has recently been moved back to April 10, 2006, to give more students the opportunity to enter. The topic of the paper must relate to current issues in diversity.

Center seeks ‘Ontario Idol’
The Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau is looking for the next “Voice of Ontario” in a talent competition running until April 17. Voice responsibilities include podcasting, public service announcements and multi-media event information channel, “Convention Guest Network.” Interested applicants must submit an audition portfolio by April 17; after reviewing the demos, ten individuals will be selected for a talent call for May 3.
