Reed appears on morning show
Posted May 9, 2008

In a “Good Morning America” segment on May 2, Jonathan Reed, professor of religion, commented on the relics found in the “Indiana Jones” series.

The morning show presented on the ABC network questioned the factual significance of the locations and findings that the character Indiana Jones uncovers in each of the movies.

It suggested that the locations shown in the “Indiana Jones” series do have historical significance and the relics are sought after.
Reed said that much of what he told the the interview was used by the narrator in some form.

His interview process spanned over three days. Reed spoke with producers for two days before a film crew was sent.

“Deep down, you know they are looking for a sound bite,” Reed said.

Of the 20 minute interview, a short clip aired during Friday’s segment.

“It’s a little embarrassing; my kids and wife laughed at me,” Reed said.

Reed has appeared on “Good Morning America” before, talking about Biblical archeology.
