Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

It always saddens me that some of our students don't learn the history that they need to become responsible adults. Erin Konrad's column “Inside the mind of a jury member” (May 2) shows that she is not aware of the many millions of people who have died to give her the right to sit on an American jury. I hope she is ignorant of history rather than uncaring because there are also millions of people who would gladly take her place in that day that she feels was “wasted.”
