Tea for Mom

Treat mom to an elegant afternoon with Claremont’s Mother’s Day Tea from 1 to 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Blaisdell Community Center in Claremont.

The event will feature an afternoon tea, entertainment by Cathleen Evans and door prizes to honor all mothers.

The cost is $4 per person and reservations are required.

Cultural Expo

The House of the Culture of Guatemala of Los Angeles will be spotlighting Guatemalan culture with its event, “Cultural Expo - Un Guatemala Por Conocer” from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow. The celebration will take place at Thomas and Second streets in downtown Pomona.

The multicultural event with hopes in promoting diversity themed “A Guatemala By Knowing,” will feature Guatemalan artisans exhibiting hand crafts, paintings and more. There will also be folkloric dancing, singing groups and honored guests speaking on Guatemalan cultural values in the United States and Pomona.
