Spring singing
The University Chorale and Chamber Singers will perform their Spring Concert at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the La Verne Church of the Brethren.
Conducted by Associate Professor of Music Steve Gothold, the concert will present a variety of works including African American spirituals, folk songs and part of Mozart’s mass in G major. Tickets are $5 for general admission and free for students.

Smoking at the Glasshouse
The Smoking Popes will play at 7 p.m. May 26 at The Glasshouse.
Lovedrug and Every Mood A Picture will also perform. Tickets are $12 in advance or $14 on the day of the show.

Library poetry
The Learning Enhancement Center’s assistant director and writing specialist, Steve Kinzie, will perform his songs at 2 p.m. May 28 at the Claremont Public Library.
The performance will present a mixture of poems and folk songs he has written in his years of composition,teaching and performing. Kinzie plays the guitar and five-string banjo.
