A female janitor for the Sodexho company, who suffered an apparent seizure late Wednesday night while on the job at ULV’s Wilson Library, will be transferred to a Kaiser Permanente hospital.

The woman, whose family asked that her name not be given, was being treated Thursday at the USC medical center, said University spokesman Charles Bentley.

She received first aid from the La Verne Fire Department at approximately 11 p.m. Wednesday, after she collapsed while walking up the library stairs.

Her co-workers watched as she began convulsing, and they tried to help her after she fell down the stairs.

She was then airlifted to the USC Medical Center at about midnight.

Two of her coworkers said she felt fine when she started work but began to feel ill at approximately 8 p.m. La Verne Fire Department Paramedics, who treated her at the scene, would not release further information by press time Thursday.
