La Verne Day at the fair

The Los Angeles County Fair honors the city of La Verne on Wednesday, with a horse race, a community parade featuring local high school bands and a special stage presentation paying tribute to city heroes.
Classic rock tribute band The Answer will close the evening.

Taste of La Verne

Take a bite out of La Verne at the sixth annual Taste of La Verne event on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the La Verne Community Center.

Presale tickets are $20 and $25 at the door.

Goodmans release ‘Static’

Co-authors Amy and David Goodman will discuss the release of their new book “Static” on Sept 25. at 10 a.m. at Scripps College.

“Static” undergoes an investigation into the Bush administration’s relationship with the media.
