Art Symposium
Pomona College is hosting an art symposium featuring James Turrell’s “Knowing Light” exhibit.

A free reception will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

New Movies
There are several new movies opening this week, including “We Own the Night,” “Elizabeth: The Golden Age,” “Michael Clayton” and “Why Did I Get Married?”

Last weekend’s top box office films like “The Game Plan,” “The Heartbreak Kid” and “The Kingdom” are still playing in theaters.

The band “Better Chemistry” is playing at T. Phillips Alehouse in La Verne at 8 p.m. on Sunday. The band’s music is reggae/funk/rock.

CAB is hosting “Transformers” in La Fetra Auditorium from 10 p.m. to midnight on Tuesday.

Art Reception

The Pomona Arts Colony is holding their inaugural exhibit “Inland Emperors” at dba256 Gallery.

The reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
