| Former Cal Poly Pomona student Matthew Mitchell was remembered on Oct. 6, the anniversary of his death after being struck by a vehicle in 2005. T. Phillip's Alehouse and Grill on D Street in La Verne hosted a fundraiser to raise contributions for the Matthew Meyers Memorial Fund. The fund provides scholarships to Cal Poly students. Rev. Kelli Grace Kurtz of St. Johns Episcopal Church, which the Meyers family attends, and her daughter Rebecca ordered dinner to go in support of Matthew and the cause his family supports. |
