Quintet plays at Glass House

Minus the Bear is scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. today at the Glass House.

The Seattle-based quintet’s songs are well-crafted, with frequent tempo changes and catchy melodies.

The band released their most recent album “Menos el Oso” this past August.

ULV alumni perform show

The Alumni Homecoming Performances will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The performance festival involves ULV students, faculty, staff, alumni and families.

At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday the alumni celebration continues with a comedy improv and open mic night.

Both will be held on the Cabaret stage of Dailey Theatre. Admission is by donation to fund guest workshops and scholarships.

‘Macbeth in the Streets’

Dowtown Los Angeles' Central Library is just the first in a series of stages for Frantic Redhead Productions’ “Macbeth in the Streets.”

As each scene of the play unfolds, the audience is whisked away through a series of plazas throughout the downtown area.

The performance begins at 7:15 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday at the library entrance. The library is located on 630 W. 5th Street in Los Angeles.
