‘Born Again’ on display Photographer Dave Jordano’s work “Born Again: African-American Community Churches in Chicago” will be on display in the Irene Carlson Gallery, on the bottom floor of Miller Hall, till Dec 3. The display is a mix of photographs taken at African-American storefront churches. Admission to the exhibit is free. For more information call (909) 593-3511, Ext. 4285. Play balances good, evil The theater department will present “The Good Women of Setzuan,” a play by Bertolt Brecht that questions the fine line between the pursuit of good deeds and financial success. The play will run on the Dailey Theatre main stage on Nov. 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 at 7:30 p.m. and as an afternoon matinee on Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. General admission is $10, senior admission is $8 and student admission is $5. Byrds’ man on music, people John York, formerly of the renown folk-rock group the Byrds, will discuss the bridges between music and people from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday in Founders Hall, Room 211. York has performed with numerous bands and artists including The Mamas and the Papas, the Sir Douglas Quintet, Johnny Rivers, The Flying Burrito Brothers, “Lightning” Hopkins and Dr. John. His visit comes in connection with Honors 300, The American Vernacular, a course co-taught by David Brock, adjunct professor of music, and Kirsten Ogden, associate professor of English.
