Student Recital

The music department will host its second student recital this fall at 4 p.m. on Nov. 16 in Founders Auditorium.

Admission is free.

Poetry Café

The third annual night of poetry funded by the Coalition for Diversity, the Mosaic Cultural Institute, the African American Student Alliance, Campus Activities Board and Starbucks Coffee will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 in the Harris Art Gallery.

The event, hosted by E’turnale D’vine will feature spoken-word artists, poets and much more, promoting a positive flow and following the theme, “You think you’ve heard but never like this.”

Installation on Tall Wall

The artwork of artist Julia Latané, a unique blend of organic and synthetic materials that inspire dreamy ponderings, called “Hither,” will be on display in the Tall Wall Space in the Arts and Communications Building until Jan. 12. Admission is free.

Play balances good, evil

The theater department will present “The Good Woman of Setzuan,” a play by Bertolt Brecht that questions the fine line between the pursuit of good deeds and financial success.

The play will run on the Dailey Theatre main stage at 7:30 p.m. today, 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11, 16, 17, 18 and as an afternoon matinee at 2 p.m on Nov. 19.
