Professional Administrative Services Credential

The Professional Administrative Services Credential
is the second level of the two-tiered credential
requirements enacted into law in 1982. This credential
may be taken in conjunction with the Ed.D.
program in Organizational Leadership, or it may
be pursued as a separate program. The courses
in the credential program relate directly to the five
thematic principles established by the Credentialing
Commission: organizational and cultural environment;
dynamics of strategic issues management;
ethical and reflective leadership; evaluation,
analysis, and development of public policy; and
management of information systems and human
and fiscal resources. The California Commission
on Teacher Credentialing has approved this program
for granting the administrative credential.
Admission Requirements: In addition to the
University requirements, the following are
required:
- A valid Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (Tier 1).
- Employment in a full-time public or private school administrative position.
Total Program: 10 semester hours
