Women, Gender, and Sexuality
Studies Minor

This major offers students the opportunity to think
critically about gender and sexuality within the
weave of cultural, historical, political, and social
forces, recognizing that gender and sexuality are
shaped by context, location, and other significant
identities, such as race, class, and nationality.
Core Requirement:
SOC 333 Women Across Cultures, or
SOC 334 Women's Experience in America (4)
Humanities and Fine Arts Electives: A minimum
of 8 semester hours in upper-division courses
from the following courses or others approved
by the chairperson.
