University Counseling Center
The Counseling
Center provides psychological counseling services
to ULV students to help them work on feelings,
thoughts, and problems that adversely affect their
personal, social, and/or academic effectiveness .
The services include: individual, couple, group,
and family counseling; crisis intervention services
(ext. 4650); psychological testing, along with
workshops and presentations on a variety of psychological
topics.
The Counseling Center follows
a strict policy of adhering to confidentiality
between the student and counselor. These services
are available at no cost to all full-time central
campus undergraduate students, and at a nominal
fee to CAPA, graduate and School of Continuing
Education students who have not purchased the
student health insurance. The Counseling Center
is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday
through Thursday, and is located on the second
floor of the Hoover Building (ext. 4831).
