M.S. Gerontology with Concentration in Administration


Designed for professionals and managers in long term care facilities, senior living facilities, home health agencies, hospices, and other health care providers to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for effective management of HSOs serving for the elderly.

Designed to provide individuals with in depth knowledge and skills needed to work with the elderly and/or develop or administer programs for the elderly or their caregivers. These positions may be in government, community-based agencies, and public or non-profit organizations.

Total Program: 36 semester hours

Core Courses: 12 semester hours

Concentration: 18 semester hours

Four of the following:

Electives: 3 semester hours
Any of the required or elective courses in the other M.S. Gerontology concentrations.

Culminating Activity: 3 semester hours
