The University of La Verne is an independent, nonsectarian and non-profit institution. The University tries to maintain low tuition in order to make higher education affordable to all potential students. The University offers financial aid opportunities and convenient tuition payment schedules. (employer tuition reimbursement plans are welcome and assistance is available to implement the terms of those agreements.)
DPA program
Doctoral students who have not completed all program requirements at the conclusion of three years of full-time enrollment are required to pay a non-credit, continuous registration fee for every six months until all degree requirements have been met.
To assist doctoral students with tuition payment, the University has established a level-pay or installment plan. Under this option, students may distribute each semester's tuition over a period of six calendar months. There is a nominal carrying charge for this service. The College offers a limited number of scholarships and assistantships. The University assists students to obtain low-interest, deferrable student loans to meet education costs. The disbursement of financial aid is controlled by various governmental agencies and donors. Students should note that 10 to 12 weeks are ordinarily needed to complete the loan and disbursement process. U.S. financial aid is not available to international students.
