The African American, Latino/a, and the Pacific Islander/Asian American Graduation Celebrations were created as opportunities to acknowledge and celebrate graduates within cultural contexts. Each year, the graduates are honored with motivational speakers, performances, a Certificate of Achievement and adorned with a cultural sash.
Note: Due to Winter Cultural Graduation Celebration events not offered this past February, graduates that participated in the Winter 2008 Commencement Ceremonies on February 2nd are invited to attend any of the celebrations listed below. Academic regalia (cap, gown, and hood) and participation fee must be paid in order to participate.

10:00 a.m. - Noon, in the Sports Science and Athletics Pavilion
The University of La Verne's African American Graduation Celebration complements the main commencement in that it specifically acknowledges and celebrates African American graduates and their families within a cultural context. You will be honored with music, performers, speakers, a Certificate of Achievement and bestowed with a Kente Sash.
The University of La Verne's African American Graduation Celebration is for all University of La Verne Spring 2008 graduates, including: Traditional Undergraduates, CAPA Students, as well as Master, Doctoral and Law candidates.
Cost for participation in the African American Graduation Celebration is $25.00. RSVP is required by Friday, May 2, 2008.

You will be honored with music, performers, speakers, a Certificate of Achievement and bestowed with a Recuerdo Sash.
The University of La Verne's Latino/a Graduation Celebration is for all University of La Verne Spring 2008 graduates, including: Traditional Undergraduates, CAPA Students, as well as Master, Doctoral and Law candidates.
Cost for participation in the Latino/a Graduation Celebration is $25.00. RSVP is required by Friday, May 2, 2008.
