Miss La Verne 2000, Liana Acosta, a University of La Verne sophomore, is seated in a 1955 Austin-Healey driven by Don Southworth for the Homecoming Parade. A sophomore at the University of La Verne, this is Acosta's second appearance as Miss La Verne in a community parade. Other parade participants included Grand Marshall and Executive Vice President of ULV Phil Hawkey, the ULV Homecoming Court, floats presented by ULV clubs, organizations and offices. The Associated Student Federation and Greek organizations were also included.

Jason Walker hopes to get a strike for his team as Chuck Chastin keeps a close eye on him. Chaparral Lanes closed to the public early last Tuesday evening to give University of La Verne students a chance to have fun and bond during Cosmic Bowling, a planned part of Homecoming Week 2000. Cosmic bowling has been a continuing success for the Associated Student's Federation as well as ULV clubs and organizations.

The International Student Organization won first place for its float in the Homecoming Parade. Derek Wendt dressed as Tarzan and played the bongo drums as the float proceeded west on Third Street.
