Fairplex Events
The Fairplex will be hosting a computer fair tomorrow and Sunday, offering
customers the opportunity to purchase hundreds of computer related items at
wholesale prices. General Admission is $8 and free for children ages 10 and
younger.
The three-day Compete National Karate Championships returns today through
Sunday with the Martial Arts Championship Naska World Tour. More than $40,000
in cash prizes will be awarded to various competitors. General admission is
$15, $10 for children 10 and younger and free for those ages 4 and below.
Southern Section 4-H Horse Classic makes its way to the Fairplex today through
Monday, showcasing the finest in horse competition. Admission is free.

Photo Exhibit
A documentary photographic project by ULV alumnus Veero Derkarabetian entitled
Kids of Armenia will be the subject of an exhibition and reception
at the Jlee Photography Centre tomorrow night, from 6-8 p.m. The gallery is
located at 224 South Main Street in Pomona.
In Theaters
50 First Dates, starring Drew Barrymore as a woman suffering from
short-term memory loss and Adam Sandler as the man vying for her affection and
acknowledgement, hits movie theaters today.
Highwaymen, a suspenseful thriller directed by Robert Harmon,
tells the story of a deranged serial killer who targets the open highway. It
opens in limited release today.
The Code, directed by Manuel Boursinhac and starring Samuel Le
Bihan tells the tale of a man just released from prison who finds himself trapped
in the world of organized crime. The Code opens in limited release
today.
