Motivational Speaker
Artist and motivational speaker Eric Wahl will present his program "The
Art of Vision" at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 18 in Founders Auditorium.
Art Exhibit
"Particles and Waves," an art exhibit of paintings on laminated
Plexiglas, opened Feb. 9. The artwork, by Eric Zammitt, will be on display
in the Harris Art Gallery until March 7.
Faculty Recital
Paul Stein, violinist and Timothy Durkovic, pianist will perform a faculty
recital as part of the Spring Concert Series. The concert will be at 8 p.m.,
Feb. 18 in Founders Auditorium. General Admission is $5, and is free for
students.
Photo Exhibit
"Kevin Hass: Finding Color," a photo exhibit featuring the
day-to-day life in America and Cuba, is currently on display at the Irene
Carlson Gallery in Miller Hall. The photos will be exhibited until Feb.
21.
Movies
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner star in the latest comicbook saga turned
big screen thriller "Daredevil." The film opens today nationwide.
Academy Awards Nominations
On Tuesday, the nominees for the 75th annual Academy Awards were announced.
The nominees in the Best Picture Category are "Chicago," "Gangs
of New York," "The Hours," "The Lord of the Rings: The
Two Towers" and "The Pianist." The winners will be announced
at the awards show March 23, 2003.
