Rain swept through La Verne Wednesday, leaving people like Eugene
Shang of the University of La Verne Student Housing Office searching for
dry ground. The first major storm of 2003 dumped more than an inch of rain
on most of the Southland, leaving many areas flooded and traffic congested.
