Frances Hesselbein, chairperson of the Leader to Leader Institute and former
CEO of the Girl Scouts of the USA, was awarded with the Presidential Medal of
Freedom by President Bill Clinton in 1998. She was invited to speak at a Coffee,
Cake and Conversation lecture in La Fetra Hall Thursday night. The speaking
event and book-signing was sponsored by the College of Business Management and
Leadership. Hesselbein, right, with admirer Trudy Diliello, is the editor in
chief of the quarterly journal Leader to Leader. The conversation
series began in 1995 and features authors in the leadership and management fields.
