The women’s water polo team played its first game against Cal State
Hayward on Saturday at the La Verne Aquatic Center. Hayward’s driver Jessica
Araujo (No. 3) blocks against University of La Verne driver Kari Erickson. La
Verne lost the game, 5-3, to the Pioneers.
The women keep on rolling with a three-game sweep of Cal Lutheran.
The conference loosens up its rules governing how much a team can practice
out of season.
Cal State Hayward tops the women in the season opener, 5-3.
The men's team drops to No. 4 nationally after a loss to UC Santa Cruz.
The men's basketball team finishes the season with a disappointing 74-69 loss
to Whittier.
