Carol Stephenson, a ULV faculty member, will lead a trio of acclaimed musicians
including flutist Rik Noyce and keyboardist Philip A. Smith, at 8 p.m. tonight
in Founders Auditorium. General admission is $5 and free for students.
Student Recital
ULV student musicians will be holding a classical music recital at noon on
Wednesday in Founders Auditorium. Admission is free.
Jonathan Rothe
ULV graduate Jonathan Rothe along with the instrumental group A Band
of Brothers will present a captivating concert of guitar music. With influences
from Motown, Latin and Pop music, the concert starts at 8 p.m. next Saturday
in Founders Auditorium. General admission is $5, students admitted free.
In Theaters
Secret Window, starring Johnny Depp, is based on the Stephen King
novella Four Past Midnight: Secret Window, Secret Garden, the story
of a writer being stalked by a psychotic stranger. Directed by David Koepp,
Secret Window comes to theaters today.
Broken Wings is the story of an Israeli family and the circumstances
and adventures they find themselves in while living in a middle-class neighborhood.
Directed by Nir Bergman, it opens in limited release today.
Spartan, starring Val Kilmer and directed by David Mamet, opens
today. This dramatic thriller is the story of a career military officer who
finds himself wrapped in a ring of espionage.
