In a late Wednesday decision, the Greek Review Board has decided to
reinstate the Cal Rho Chapter of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity pending specifications
and certain restrictions.
The fraternity was reinstated because its members did everything that
was detailed in their suspension letter after the first review.
The Greek Review Board, will release all the restrictions for reinstatement
in a letter today.
The fraternity was suspended in spring 2002 because of violations to
the Inter-fraternity rush regulations.
The Phi Delts were suspended after they paid to have two strippers at
an event, which included 13 potential new members during the last night
of rush last spring. in violation of several IFC rules, including the "good
taste" rule.
The fraternity has spent the last year doing various community service
events, including coordinating a women's seminar about about violence in
relationships.
