Dear Editor,
While I like the idea of having shorter class time, I think it’s a bad idea [“10-week term on table,” April 8]. It’s true that my classes are tedious and the work is horrible, and I wouldn’t mind it to be shorter, but a shorter semester means more work is crammed into it. I’m already swimming in work as it is and don’t have time to have more work because of a shorter semester.
Also, I really despise the idea of having interterm in May. I like it the way it is because after winter break, I get a month to get back into the mood of going to school. If interterm is moved to May, no one would want to do it because it’s hot, in the summer, and after finals when no one wants to go to school again. It defeats the whole purpose of having interterm. It will ruin my plans for studying abroad next year, too. Oh, and one last thing, if interterm moves to May: It also ruins my summer school schedule, too, because like most students who go to summer school, I go to a community college for it.
