This spring and summer there is a variety of styles out there for men and women to look "hot" in.

Whether you are going to the beach, a fancy party or a casual dinner, there is definitely something out there for you to wear.

White is a must for you to have in your wardrobe. But don't overdo it and wear it from head-to-toe unless you are going to a tropical climate. It is best to wear it with another color or a well-chosen accessory.

Dresses are romantic in white. A sleek white jacket always looks nice too.

Tropical style clothes are a big hit this season. Citrus colors, halter-top dresses, exposed midriffs and exuberant floral prints will make anyone stand out in the crowd.

Try wearing hot colors like lemon, orange, raspberry and lime green.

If you want to be the center of attention, wear African-inspired patterns; vibrant colors, bold abstracts, and shell-and-leather accessories.

To make your outfit complete, wear earth-tone sandals, chunky beads and a soft bag with a bone handle.

We all know that the "hippy" look is in. From low-slung trousers, shoulder-baring tops and hip-hugging bags, these clothes give you the relaxed look.

Western wear includes denim and suede, mixed with feminine frills and a feather detail. A ruffled skirt is a must have to pull this look off.

Chiffon, with big floral prints, is the essence of summer. Don't forget the peasant dresses and camisole tops to cool yourself off in.

Spring's jacket shapes are short and sharp or masculine and oversized.

For those chilly summer nights, buckled-up trench coats are back in style in the colors white or cream.

Beautiful evening coats come in satin and radiant colors.

Pale colored trouser suits are a must have as well with sassy jackets and low-slung trousers. They come in every fabric and print, from plaid chiffon to Baja stripes.

The simple sundress is just one of the essential styles for spring, and slouchy or workmanlike shorts are sleek and sexy.

If you are daring, wear teeny tiny square-cut shaped shorts.

For men, spring welcomes the return of preppy country club styles: a combination of bright colors and earth tones and patterns.

Lighter material like linen and stretch cotton will be showing up in everything from sports jackets to sweaters and pants.

Red is the base shade for shirts and sweaters.

Other popular spring colors include shades of blue, light green, orange and beige.

For both men and women, striped clothes and belts are definitely a big hit.

This summer there is a variety of swimsuits such as cute fruit decoration bikinis, as well as checkered, halter, ruffled, animal print, flower designs, African-inspired print, plaid and striped swimwear.

At Macy's, a Ralph Lauren halter bikini costs about $88. You can get a similar one at H&M at www.hm.com for $18. If you do not want to spend a lot of money on a swimsuit, go to Old Navy or Ross, where the clothing prices are always reasonable.

New fashions deal not only with clothing, but also with hair. So, if you are tired of the same old hairstyle, then now is the time to try something new. If you're in the mood to change your style, don't be afraid to visit your nearest salon for suggestions. Magazines are another option to flip through as well.
