Rainbow Alliance
Members of the Rainbow Alliance invite anyone interested to join them

Open Registration
For those who missed their registration appointment, the Office of the
Registrar is holding open registration on May 6.
Summer School Academy
ULV Public Summer School Enrichment Academy is offering a new summer
enrichment program for students from 6th to 8th grade. Teachers from local
school districts will be teaching courses. If you know someone who may be

Summer Service Tea
Introducing the 2002 Summer Service students to the university community
and the donors who are supporting them. The tea will be held on May 3 at
2 p.m. in the President's Dinning Room. Summer Service was started at ULV
in 1957 to provide a service learning component in the student's educational
experience, and to provide 10 weeks of service to various churches, schools,
retirement centers, camps and other service agencies.
New Scholarship
The newly created World Peace Scholarship program funded by Rotary International
is looking for worthy candidates for this prestigious scholarship. It provides
up to $50,000 over two years to assist the winner in obtaining a masters
degree in peace and conflict resolution studies. Students interested can

for application packet. Students can enter no later than June 2, 2002.
Farewell Reception
The University of La Verne invites the ULV community to attend a farewell
reception for Dean Verne Orr on May 7 from 3 p.m. to 5p.m. in the Presidents
Dinning Room.
