Choir Sings Sondheim

The University of La Verne’s choirs will perform the works of Sondheim tonight and Saturday in Founders Auditorium.

The concert starts at 8 p.m. on both nights, and general admission is $5 while students get in free.

Rico Coffee has a live entertainment-filled weekend planned for tonight and Saturday.

Perennial favorites, the Royale Garden Dixieland Jazz Band, will play tonight starting at 7:30.

Saturday will also start at 7:30 and will feature four acts: Mike Gonzalez, Wilderfolk and the Family Jugg, King Nosmo and Luz de Luna.

Acceptance on Tour in SoCal

Alternative pop/rock band Acceptance is going on tour to promote its latest album, “Phantoms.”

Acceptance will be at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on June 16 and at the House of Blues in Anaheim on June 19.

‘The Whole Picture!’

The paintings of Ruth Trotter’s Art 370 class will be in an exhibit entitled “The Whole Picture!” from May 23 to 26 on the second floor of the Arts and Communications Building.

An opening reception will be held at 7 p.m. on May 23, and all are welcome to attend.
