Freshman Ruben Trujillo (No. 11) of the University of La Verne men’s soccer team moves the ball downfield against the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs during the first half of the game Sept. 16. The Leopards lost the evening match on Ben Hines Field, 2-0. This loss to the undefeated UCSC (the No. 2 team in Division III who stands 7-0 on the season), as well as a 4-0 win over Caltech Saturday and a 1-0 loss to Pomona-Pitzer Wednesday, bring the Leopards’ season record to 2-3-3. ULV will take on defending Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion Redlands at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
