More than 30 people gathered on the corners of Arrow Highway and Indian Hill Blvd. Friday to encourage people to "Honk for Peace" in opposition to a war with Iraq. Claremont resident Mike Noonan sang along with Marjorie Musser-Mikels of Upland in an improvisational tune entitled "No blood for oil." Musser-Mikels is the Democratic candidate for the House of Representatives in California's 26th Congressional "Foothill District." The two joined members of the community, local churches, including the Claremont Friends Church, and organizations such as the Pomona Peace and Justice Center. The anti-war advocates say they will continue to meet on these corners every Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
