Choral Concert
The ULV Chorale and Chamber Singers present "Candelight Christmas:
Celebrate the Season," featuring holiday music to ring in the holiday
season. The concert starts at 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow. General admission
is $5, students are free.
Music Charts
Country singer Shania Twain's album "Up" sits atop both The
Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums tally. While, Tim McGraw's album
"Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors" sold 602,000 copies, to
bring it to No. 2 in both charts, according to www.billboard.com. The album also saw its best sales
week ever.
Out This Week
The much anticipated comedic pairing of Billy Crystal and Robert De
Niro is here in the form of "Analyze That" the sequel to the 1999
hit "Analyze This." The sequel finds De Niro's mobster character
faking a psychological illness to get out of prison.
Holiday Movies
The second chapter in the J.R.R. Tolkien series is coming to theaters
on Dec. 18. "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" finds the
hobbits Frodo and Sam braving dangerous obstacles to have the evil ring
destroyed.
"Gangs of New York," directed by Martin Scorsese, is set in
19th Century New York City. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a young
man seeking vengeance against Bill "The Butcher" Poole, the man
who killed his father. "Gangs" opens on Dec. 20.
