The Rainbow Alliance will be kicking off it’s spring semester with an amusing event for the boyfriends at the University of La Verne called “Queer Eye for the Leopard Guy.” The group is taking a spin off the hit television show, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and customizing the event for the college setting.

Applicants will submit their boyfriends, who are in need of an experienced makeover, to participate in the event. The members of the Rainbow Alliance will then revamp the room of the unaware chosen applicant. The boyfriend’s wardrobe and room will be improved through the sophisticated tastes of the men and women of the Rainbow Alliance.

“After the random drawing, the applicant will be assessed by their style, culture, grooming and etiquette,” president of the Rainbow Alliance Jonathan Serrett said.

Applications for the event can be found inside the library at the reference desk, Student Center and the Cabaret Theater. The primary deadline for the applications has been set for Feb. 5. Applications can be turned in to ULV box 536 in the Student Center. The group will pick the lucky contestant at it’s Valentine’s Day Wedding Booth on Feb. 14. The chosen applicant’s surprise makeover is anticipated to be occur before the University has spring break.

“We thought it would be a fun, creative event that could give us means to interact with the ULV community and them to interact with us,” Kori Bennett member of the Rainbow Alliance said.
