American Cinematheque

From Sept. 13-21 a tribute will be given to director Monte Hellman. This retrospect will feature his early work with actor/ writer Jack Nicholson. It will feature many of his Western films such as "The Shooting" and "Ride In The Whirlwind." It will be held at 5300 Melrose Ave., in Hollywood. General admission is $7. L.A. County Fair

Eddie Money will perform at the L.A. County Fair Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. in the Grandstand.

Mexican Independence Day will be celebrated with a mariachi band and a spectacular fireworks show Sept. 15. Mariachi de Mexico de Jose Hernandez will make its third annual appearance at the fair.

The Village People are scheduled to appear at the Fair on Sept 16. at 8 p.m. in the Grandstand.

Casting Call

Pre starring Donald Sutherland is in production and in need of extras. Shooting begins Sept. 25. Extras of all ages, shapes, and sizes will be hired. Based on the Olympic Trials of 1972, a recreation of Munich Stadium will be filled at the Citrus College Field. For more information, call (818) 954-7699.

Fashion Show

A spring semester fashion show will be given by senior Jamie Bigornia as his senior project. Modeling auditions are Sept. 17, 18 & 24 in the Art Building at 5 p.m. Details will be given at the auditions. No portfolios are necessary.
