Prism
The fall/winter issue of Prism, the University of La Verne's literary,
art and photography magazine, is now available in the Student Center, Wilson
Library, Miller Hall, Founders Hall and AAIC Building.
Deadline for entries for the spring issue is March 1. Poems, essays,
short stories, photos and original art will be accepted. Submission blanks
are available on the Prism boxes in the Student Center, in the Miller Hall
lobby and outside Miller Hall 216.
New Films
Films opening in general release today include "The Empire Strikes
Back" starring Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Billy
Dee Williams and "Rosewood," directed by John Singleton, with
Ving Rhames and Jon Voight.
Live Music
No Doubt kicks off its American tour this spring with tickets going
on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster locations. Their Southern
California appearance will be May 31, with Weezer and Suicide Machine.
Performance
"Good Girls Don't," a play written and directed by senior
Margo Fiorito, will be performed Thursday, Feb. 27, Friday, Feb. 28 and
Saturday, March 1 in the Cabaret at 7:30 p.m. Donations of $2 are welcome.
