Free Flea Market
Campus Ministry will be sponsoring its annual Free Flea Market tomorrow.
The campus ministers, Elena Cardeña and Debbie Roberts ask that
ULV students, faculty and staff who would like to contribute donations for
the flea market do so by this evening.
The entire community is invited to visit the flea market and take five
free items. The flea market will take place in the University Mall from
9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Fasnacht Lecture
Dr. David Hollinger will speak as part of the Fasnacht Lecture Series
in Religion and Society today at 10:30 a.m. in Founders Hall Auditorium.
Dr. Hollinger's topic is "The Will To Descend: Color, Culture and Genealogy."
Hollinger is a 1963 graduate of ULV.
Crop Walk
The annual Crop Walk for the Hungry, sponsored by the Pomona-Inland
Valley Council of Churches, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19.

La Vernacula
La Vernacula, the Latino community magazine of the University of La
Verne, is accepting art, poetry and prose submissions through Oct. 24.
Submission forms are available at Miller Hall, Room 115. Interested
students may also contact Dr. Andrea Labinger at ext. 4357, Alejandra Rojo
at ext. 6160 or Kenia Magallanes at ext. 6209 for further information.
Prism
The editorial board of Prism is currently soliciting submissions for
the University of La Verne's literary/art/photo magazine.
Short stories of up to 2,000 words, essays no longer than 1,500 words
and poetry may be submitted to the Student Center Prism box or to Miller
Hall by Friday, Oct. 20.
Original art (no larger than 11"x14") and photos (up to 8"x10")
are also solicited.
