ASF Minutes
Campus Times
November 21, 1997
The Associated Student Federation (ASF) Forum convened in the West Dining
Room Wednesday, delivering constituency/liaison reports and committee plans.
Committees
Committee members for the Lip Sync contest are still contemplating a
first place prize for the contest, which is scheduled for Dec. 4. They are
requiring a total of at least 10 acts in order for the contest to take place.
ASF members continued to make plans for the Holiday Dinner, scheduled
for Dec. 9. A University gift is still being determined, although ASF members
have an idea in mind. They are still looking for faculty members to host
tables for the dinner. A dance following the dinner is still scheduled.
Stories for the second newsletter were requested from Forum members.
An advice column by Forum member Andrew Bills is another section to be highlighted
in the next issue. The newsletter is scheduled to be published in December.
Constituencies
Members reported on the status of their constituencies. From the Security
constituency, it was reported that security whistles are still available
to anyone who would like one at no cost. Plans for better lighting on campus
were also discussed.
Members concerned with Residential Life discussed current problems with
CampusLink, the University's phone system. Positive changes in CampusLink
were noted and ASF members briefly discussed problems that had come to their
attention about the phone system.
