Members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity met with the Greek Judicial
Board Wednesday Nov. 12 as part of the investigation into claims made by
former member Dale Schroeder in the Oct.
10 issue of the Campus Times.
"It's a normal step," said Melissa Jaunal, coordinator of
student programs. "The allegations made against the fraternity I have
been continuously investigating."
"They gave direct answers for very specific questions," said
Ruby Montaño-Cordova, associate dean of student affairs. "The
men were respectful of the process."
Jaunal refused to expand on the issues brought up in the meeting but
did say that there have been a number of interviews with members since the
allegations. She also refused to comment on whether the members did anything
wrong.
"Right now I'd say the investigation is pretty much closed -- the
investigation has gone as far as it can go," said Jaunal.
SAE vice-president Brian Richenburger said, "Yes, we went to Greek
Review Board and its resolved."
