Historic Lecture
The Southwest Museum's Braun Research Library Friends Group presents
a lecture on "The Historic Charms of California's Past." It will
be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at 234 Museum Dr. in Highland Park. Admission
is $7; seniors and students are $3.50.
Free Pool
Jordan's Sports Bar and Grill offers La Verne students a free game of
pool with valid ID on Tuesday nights. Jordan's is located in downtown Pomona,
296 West Second Street, at the corner of Second and Main.
'Draped'
The Harris Art Gallery presents "Draped," new paintings by
Ruth Trotter. The reception is Sunday, March 1, from 5-7 p.m. The display
is up from March 2 through April 3 in the Harris Gallery. Discussion will
be Tuesday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. in La Fetra Lecture Hall.
Poetry Contest
Sparrowgrass Poetry Forum is offering $500 for its Distinguished Poet
Awards poetry contest. The contest is free and poets may enter one poem,
20 lines or fewer, on any subject, in any style. The deadline is May 31.

Spring Break trip
Walt Disney World Resorts in Florida offer college students a special
