Study Abroad

An international summer school opportunity awaits those that would like to study abroad. They may earn college credit and travel through Central Europe with the Uno-Innsbruck International Summer School. The six week program will be held from July 5-Aug. 15 in Innsbruck, Austria. Summer Service

ULV's Summer Service Program is accepting applications through the first week of March. Students may volunteer for 10 weeks in California, Oregon, Washington or Idaho and receive a $2,500 scholarship, $50 per week to spend, and take advantage of the opportunity to serve others.

Informational meetings will be held Monday, March 3, at noon and 5:30 p.m. in Davenport Dining Hall. Summer Service will pay for students without meal plans.

First Aid Classes

The Pomona Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering CPR and first aid classes at the La Verne Community Center, located on "D" Street, for the following Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30-10:30 p.m.: March 3, 5, April 7, 9, May 5, 7 and June 2, 4. Training will cover how to handle a variety of emergency situations. For more information, call the Pomona Valley Red Cross at (909) 622-1348.
