"Sweets and soda. Jesus dying on the Cross was a sacrifice, so I should make one, too. I've kept up to it so far."

--Amy Brummel
freshman

"I'm giving up chocolate because you've just have to make a sacrifice and I like chocolate. Also my Sony [PlayStation], because I enjoy doing it and it distresses me."

--Eddie Guerra
senior

"Chocolate and french fries. Chocolate because it's a sacrifice for me, and french fries because hopefully it'll get me off of them on a permanent basis. I broke it today but I won't break it on Sunday."

--Elizabeth Santilena
senior

"I've given up fried food. That is the hardest thing to give up, I think. I do eat kind of health-consciously, but until I give up french fries and stuff like that I don't think I'm really doing enough."

--Ivan Ayro
senior

"Dairy products, because I love them so much and I guess the purpose of Lent is to give up something that you love or that would probably be really hard for you to give up."

--Tamar Garabedian
junior
