Video Screening
Intermediate and advanced television students at the University of La
Verne will be screening their video projects tomorrow at 7 p.m. in La Fetra
Hall. Refreshments will be served and admission is free.
Thesis Exhibition
Art students Ellen Maietta and Yoshie Enomoto will exhibit their senior
thesis at the Harris Art Gallery May 21-June 13. The reception is Thursday,
May 21, from 4-6 p.m. The gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through
Friday; and 1-5 p.m. on weekends. For information, call ext. 4763.
Pomona Carnival
The third annual carnival in downtown Pomona will run May 28-30. Refreshments
will be available at the new restaurants in the area. There will also be
a vintage car procession to celebrate Pomona's founders and diverse cultural
make-up.
Among the entertainment, food booths, boutiques, carnival rides, live
entertainment, merchant displays, wandering street performers, musicians,
mime troupes and a clown will be included. For more information, call (909)

Theater Festival
The Ashland Oregon Theater Festival offers students the chance to receive
English 449 or Theatre Art 400 for 2-4 graduate or undergraduate units.
The festival will run from June 27-July 5. Some of the performances include
four Shakespear plays and five other plays. Students interested can call
Dr. Rhoda Kachuck, professor of English, at ext. 4351 or stop by MH 219
for information.
